Women in Architecture Summer Social 2017

Join us on the evening of July 24th for our summer social to reconnect with each other, meet new friends, and learn what we have been up to and what we are planning for the next year.

We are also extremely pleased to welcome Councillor Andrea Reimer as our keynote speaker. She is a strong voice on the council and in the region for communities and community engagement, transparency, reconciliation, sustainability, inclusivity, and accessibility, amongst her other areas of focus.

Councillor Reimer has also led the effort to ensure that gender equality is confirmed through policy at the City Hall, both in terms of civic representation and developing funding for the equitable delivery of services for women and girls in the city. This action came after she voiced her concerns over the all-male make up of the Urban Design Panel, which subsequently was revised to include eight women out of twelve members.

Entry to the building’s lobby is off the elevated plaza north of Granville and Cordova intersection. Proceed to the furthest bank of elevators.

If the event is full at the time of your registration, you can join the waitlist. We will be able to refund your tickets prior to 24 hours before the event. Tickets are transferable.
